Computer skills are valuable in almost any career field, and the Information Technology pathway provides students with the foundational and skill development courses needed for a 21st century career. Students progressing through this pathway will be equipped for a possible career in computer sciences, web design, and mobile app development. Courses include Computer Applications, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Introduction to Computer Programming, Web Design, and Mobile Makers, a mobile app development course. Students who complete Microsoft Word and/or Microsoft Excel have the opportunity to test for the Microsoft Office Specialist certification and can earn articulated credit with Elgin Community College.
